Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This policy explains what data the Sweet Nothing app ("the app") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The app is published by TMM Capital ("we", "us"). If you have a question, email support@sweetnothing.app.
- We collect only the data that the app needs to work.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
- The app has no third-party analytics and no advertising tools. It counts how you use the app in our own database to make the app better.
- Your weight from Apple Health stays on your iPhone. We never receive it.
- Your photos are private. Only you can see them.
- You can delete your account and all your data in the app at any time.
Data we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Account: a user ID. At the end of the onboarding, before the purchase, the app creates an anonymous account with only this user ID, with no name and no email. After the purchase, you link Sign in with Apple to this account. Then we also get your email address and your name from Apple. If you choose "Hide My Email", we get only an Apple relay address. | To create your account, keep your plan and purchase with it, and sign you in. |
| First name: the first name that you enter in the onboarding. We store it on your profile. | To personalize the app, for example to greet you by name. |
| Onboarding answers: your reasons to quit, your main challenge, when you get cravings, and how many sweet drinks and sweets you have per day. From these, the app estimates your daily sugar intake. | To make your plan. |
| Your progress: daily check-ins, slips and their triggers, craving logs, weekly reviews (energy, skin, sleep and cravings on a scale of 1 to 5), your goal and your start date. | To show your sugar-free days, stats and progress. |
| Text that you write: your "why", your if-then plan, and notes on slips and cravings. | To show them back to you, for example in Craving SOS. |
| Food scans: the photos of food that you take, the barcodes that you scan, and the results. | To tell you if a food fits your goal, and to keep your scan history. |
| Progress photos that you take in the app. | To let you compare your photos over time. |
| Purchases: your subscription status and purchase history. Apple processes the payment. We never see your payment details. | To give you access to Sweet Nothing Pro. |
| Usage events: what you do in the app, for example which onboarding screen you see, when you see the paywall, and when you complete a purchase. See "Usage analytics" below. | To see where people leave the onboarding and to make the app better. |
| Sugar analysis email (optional): if you close the paywall, you can tell us why and ask for your sugar analysis by email. We store the email address that you enter, your answer and your sugar estimate. | To send you this one email, and to understand why people do not subscribe. We do not add your address to a mailing list and we do not send you other emails. |
Apple Health
If you allow it, the app reads your weight from Apple Health to show your weight change on your iPhone. The app does not send your weight to us, does not store it, and never writes to Apple Health. We do not use Apple Health data for advertising or share it with anyone. You can turn off access at any time in the Health app or in iPhone Settings.
Usage analytics
The app records simple usage events and sends them to our own database at Supabase. We do not use a third-party analytics tool. Each event contains:
- The name of the event, for example "onboarding_step_viewed" or "paywall_viewed".
- When the event happened.
- A random device ID that the app makes the first time you open it. It is not the Apple advertising ID (IDFA), and we do not use it to track you in other apps or on websites.
- A random session ID that changes each time you open the app, or come back to it after 30 minutes.
- The app version and build, the iOS version, your language and region setting, your time zone, and how many days ago you first opened the app.
- The screen you were on, and if you had a subscription at that moment.
- Small details about the event, for example which onboarding screen you saw, how long you spent on it, which plan you selected, an onboarding answer such as how many sweet drinks you have per day, or the result of a check-in, a craving or a food scan.
- When something fails, a short technical error message.
- After you have an account (also the anonymous account), your user ID.
We use these events only to see where people leave the onboarding, which features help people stay sugar-free, and what fails, so we can make the app better. Events never contain the text you type, such as your name, your why, your plan or your notes. We do not use them for ads or to track you, and we do not share or sell them. Only we can read them. The app can add events but cannot read them.
When you delete your account, we delete all the events that are linked to your user ID. Events from before you had an account are linked only to the random device ID, not to your account, and we keep them to count how many people reach each onboarding screen.
Data on your iPhone only
Your reminder settings stay on your iPhone. Your onboarding answers stay on your iPhone until the app creates your account at the end of the onboarding, but some answers are also part of usage events (see "Usage analytics"). Reminders are local notifications. We do not send push notifications and we do not collect a push token. The widget gets only what it shows from the app: your sugar-free days and streak, today's check-in status, your check-ins for the last 35 days, your plan start date, the sugar you avoided in grams and the titles of your last and next milestones. This data stays on your iPhone. If you add the widget to your Lock Screen, people who see your locked iPhone can see it.
Who processes your data
We use these service providers. They process data only to run the app for us.
- Supabase stores your account, your progress, your photos and your usage events. Servers are in the United States. Photos are in private storage that only your account can open.
- RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It gets your user ID and your purchase history.
- Anthropic (Claude API) analyzes food. When you take a food photo, the photo goes to Anthropic for analysis. When you scan a barcode, only the product information goes to Anthropic. We do not send your name, email or user ID with these requests. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Google (Gemini API) analyzes food when Anthropic is not available. It then gets the same data, and only that data. We use the paid Gemini API. Under its terms, Google does not use this data to train its models.
- Open Food Facts provides product information. Our server sends only the barcode number, not your data.
- Resend sends the sugar analysis email. It gets only your email address and the numbers in the email. Servers are in the United States.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple, payments and Apple Health.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not track you across other apps and websites, and we do not share your data with data brokers or advertisers.
- We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting or advertising tools.
- We do not use the Apple advertising ID (IDFA).
- We do not use your data to make automated decisions that affect you.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your account, your first name, all your progress data, your text, all your photos and the usage events linked to your account from our storage at once. We also revoke the Sign in with Apple link. Usage events from before you had an account are linked only to a random device ID and are not deleted (see "Usage analytics"). RevenueCat and Apple keep purchase records as the law requires.
If you asked for your sugar analysis by email, we keep your email address until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. To delete it, reply to the email or write to support@sweetnothing.app.
Your rights and choices
- Delete your account: in the app, open Settings and tap Delete Account. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
- Delete a progress photo: you can delete it in the app.
- Access, correction, a copy of your data, or other requests: email support@sweetnothing.app. We answer within 30 days.
- If you live in the EU, the UK or another region with privacy laws (such as California), you have rights under those laws, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We process your data to provide the service that you asked for (performance of a contract). We process usage events to make the app better (our legitimate interest).
Security
All data moves over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Each account can read only its own data, and photos are in private storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children
The app is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we tell you in the app.
